New Challenges

Coming through the door with groceries isn't the greatest time to discover new things are about to happen. I tend to be more focused on putting my cheeses and vegetables in the refrigerator, my pastas and my tomato products in the pantry (I don't like leaving stuff on my counter for any period of time.) Today, however, proved to be a little different.

The furthest thing from my mind was thinking about my library opportunity. I had an interview two days earlier and I had been told that I wouldn't hear anything until the first of the week. Believe it or not, I was okay with not having an answer RIGHT NOW! Like I said in my last post, I felt such a sense of peace; I knew that if God wanted the door to open, it would.

Apparently, it is a door He wants me to go through. Because upon putting grocery bags down, I discovered on our seldomly used answering machine.....and I was asked to call the library back. I did.....and I was offered the job. Talk about getting thrown for a loop!

Not that it was bad thing. I just wasn't expecting it. I think God likes to work that way; He likes to bless our socks off when we least suspect it. After all, it gives Him the opportunity to receive all the glory and honor and praise.

My new job is going to pose some challenges--learning new things always does. It is going to take some getting used to the hours, dealing with people, etc. But I am looking forward to it. While culinary school is my dream, God has brought something else to me in the meantime. I couldn't be more excited.
