I can't keep up with time. It seems to fly by so quickly.....and it is doing just that again. Well, it is "Fair Time" once more. Since the end last August, I knew what I wanted to enter this year. I wanted to improve my chocolate chip cookies (and even my cinnamon pecan icebox cookies) Plus, I discovered this fantastic recipe for Peppermint Crunch Cookies (on the back of the Andes' mint chips bag) and I wanted to enter them also. Well, even though the fair doesn't begin until Friday, you have to take your stuff Monday or today, Tuesday. I guess it is because they judge tomorrow or something. So, I had to bake my yummy treats today....and I have been ever since 10 o'clock!! =)
The thing I don't get is this. The judges only want 4 cookies, so my family gets all the rest. We get that "mound" you see. Do we really need it?! My stomach is already bugging me....I think I ate one (or two) too many....plus the dough, which I KNOW NOT to eat. Raw egg is not the most healthful thing I could put in my body =) I need to remember the scripture "everything is permissible, but not everything is beneficial!"
