My journey through the Bible has already opened by eyes to numerous things. They are things that I have known for many years, yet God has wanted me to renew my memories of them. I am reminded that the patriarchs in the Bible--Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob--were normal people just like I am. They have made many mistakes yet they have been redeemed. They have found new life in Him.
In the Old Testament, altars were constructed to give thanks and praise for what God had done. They also served as a way to remember the past, of just where God had brought them. I have my own personal altars, but I also have the Cross.
It might sound crazy, but I am thankful for each and every opportunity to be brought to the cross. I know when I am there that I will be cleansed and made new again. I will also learn more and more about my Father who loves me.
I just want to leave you with that little thought today and also, I want to leave you with this song. I have just discovered it at church and it has been in my mind all throughout the week. It is one of those songs that causes me to raise my hands and lift my voice. It has become a song I want to always have be the cry of my heart.
Be blessed!

That is a beautiful song. We really do sing some gorgeous songs at church, don't we?!
I, too, am thankful for the cross and the grace and redemption that is found there.
Love,
Mom
