A Recent Discovery

I could be just the one who is REALLY late in coming the party regarding The Lizzie Bennett Diaries. You know how I found out about it? Pinterest. (Sidebar: I love Pinterest. I have gotten so many ideas for cooking and baking and my future home and wedding on it. Yeah. I love it =P)

Anyway, I have found myself settling down with a few of these episodes each and every night. It's not Austen in its purest sense of the world. It definitely as a modern twist. However, it does not bother me at all. (Which does that mean I am not an Austen snob? I am a Sherlock snob apparently......I can't stand anything that doesn't do it justice. Maybe it means that Austen is easier to NOT screw up....)

I think y'all will enjoy these as well!

LOL! Great minds think alike, Ella - just was thinking this morning I should do a random post about these. :)

We'll be late to the party together - it's more fun that way because we have lots to watch yet. ;)

This is a cute series! I still haven't watched all of the episodes...I'm more of a casual fan (at this point at any rate). A friend told me about the Kickstarter campaign to bring LBD to DVD -- and in two days they achieved four times their fundraising goal! I'm pretty excited about that as I'm more apt to sit down and watch a DVD than a web series...the short increments kinda drive me nuts. ;)

Nope, I'm later than you! Been hearing about these all over, but never watched one until just this minute when I watched the one you posted. Intriguing, to be sure! I'll try to catch more, as I have time...

And I'm not an Austen snob either. But I'm a Sherlock snob. Hmm.

I just recently started these too! And I found out about them on Pinterest too(at least that is what got me started) but waited awhile before looking into them. I skipped a few later ones because I wanted to rip through the actions. I recommended them without checking all of them-there are some crudities in the beginning, but I enjoyed them. I am just waiting for the last one and then I think I will divide them up and rewatch them a few a day. I AM an Austen snob-I cannot abide the book spinoffs; people don't understand that the story is not enough-one has to be a brilliant author to have a brilliant story. I hate the spinoff books sooo much. But somehow this does not bother me; I don't consider movies near as high an art form (its a collaboration for one thing), and this was set in modern times so some liberty is permissible...I watched From Prada to Nada and did not mind, but it was soo silly and poorly made. I think they are adorable and hilarious!

Rissi, for a while now, I have felt as if you and I share the same mind =)

Ruth--I have to agree. I would enjoy watching them on DVD slightly more because, frankly, having to change the Youtube video every three minutes is annoying

Hamlette, Sherlock Snobs unite!!

Livia, I do not hate all of the spinoff books (although there are a few I cannot abide.) Ah well. Yes, there are some crude remarks in these....but the enjoyment far outweighs any issues in my opinion =D

I love this show! :) I started it at the very beginning last year, then stopped for some reason. I didn't pick it back up until December and have been a faithful watcher every week since. It's simply too addicting and cute! There's definitely things that I don't enjoy as much, but overall they have done a fab job in my opinion.

I found these last week, and I could not stop watching them! They have several not-so-great parts, but on the whole I thought they were amazing! Glad you like them!
